IALFEC MORUST

About This Story

IALFEC MORUST is a character and concept which Scott has been developing as part of the ‘IALFEC‘ universe. This outline is Scott’s first attempt at using the 3-Act story structure. Using this template for stories allows Scott to better see the shape of his stories, and by first being able to map out and tell himself the story from beginning to end, allows Scott a better sense of how to develop an idea from concept to creation. From here, Scott will use this template to create a storyboard which breaks down the story beats on a scene by scene level.

The original sketch is created using coloured graphite pencil on cartridge paper.

The featured image of ‘Yuzzik Prime’ was edited by DS Coremans using Photoshop. The background for the image was removed and the colours of the image were boosted using a colour filter. These character sketches are the final character designs that Scott would most like to see being used as part of this project should he develop it further.

This hybrid work between Scott and Darren is something they have been working on together since early 2025, so that both of them can learn new skills, but also so that Scott can get a better sense of how these characters could be developed as he continues to work on his skills as an animator.

Key inspirations for Scott at the moment are from some of his favourite animated movies. From Dreamworks; the Shrek franchise, from Blue Sky Studios; the Ice Age franchise, and Disney in general, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary as an animation studio.
