Sentachhu

About This Sketch
‘Sentachhu’ is a character development sketch of a creature designed for one of Scott’s current projects the ‘IALFEC‘ universe. Sentachhu is a sentient mechanoid creature that may appear in some of Scott’s planned animated stories, but for now Sentachhu has been placed in on alien planet destroyed by an unknown disaster. As a mechanoid creature, Sentachhu’s metallic body is perfectly designed to explore the harsh and ruinous world on which Scott sees this creature belonging to.

The original sketch is created using coloured graphite pencil on cartridge paper.
The featured image of Sentachhu was edited by DS Coremans using Photoshop. The background for the image was removed and the colours of the image were boosted using a colour filter.
In the alternate images of Sentachhu, different backgrounds were generated using Photoshop’s internal AI generator to help Scott decide which environment was right for this character.
This hybrid work between Scott and Darren is something they have been working on together since early 2025, so that both of them can learn new skills, but also so that Scott can get a better sense of how these characters could be developed as he continues to work on his skills as an animator.
Key inspirations for Scott at the moment are from some of his favourite animated movies. From Dreamworks; the Shrek franchise, from Blue Sky Studios; the Ice Age franchise, and Disney in general, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary as an animation studio.
