The Animated Gods
About This Sketch
‘The Animated Gods’ are some of Scott’s most recent designs. Evolving from the original ‘IALFEC‘ characters these three designs are Scott’s attempt to better realise how the characters might look in a fully realised project. Scott’s designs characters are now more often than not drawn in colour. The colours of each character tend to reflect the environment that Scott imagines they live within. Where the bold green character is more likely to be found in a lush forest or jungle, the characters composed of more yellows and browns tend to belong to places that are more baron or dry like deserts or wastelands.
A key inspiration for this project was the computer game Clash Artifacts of Chaos, and the YuGiOh Duel Monsters series.
Another of Scott’s favourite games which inspired the IALFEC creatures is Solar Ash.
